Best for
Licensed family and friend groups building a tested local communication plan
Material / format
50W GMRS · 8 repeater channels · USB-C · 15 shared high-power channels
Know before buying
U.S. GMRS authorization required; one family license does not cover unrelated friends. No guaranteed range or emergency-service monitoring. Radio, not a complete home-base kit. Home operation needs a suitable regulated power supply such as the separately sold LPX-14, correct wiring and a suitable antenna installation. Vehicle power and mounting must follow the manual. Supplier availability and delivery are checked again at Cook checkout.
