Why it earned a place
A 13.8V, 10A regulated supply provides current headroom for the Midland MXT275. Electrical compatibility is based on maker specifications, not a jointly certified kit.

Affordable starter · Radio, supply, included antenna & cable
Midland MXT275 15W radio with its included MXTA13 magnetic antenna and cable, plus a Samlex SEC-1212 regulated home power supply. Two products provide the four core functions.
Midland MXT275 Compact Home / Vehicle GMRS Radio$199.99
Samlex SEC-1212 10A Radio Power Supply$155.30For local check-ins; 15W rather than 50W, with a compact magnetic antenna instead of an elevated outdoor base antenna. Place the included antenna on a suitable metal ground plane; keep it upright and follow Midland’s separation instructions. The power supply has screw terminals, so the vehicle plug needs a correctly fused DC lead prepared per the makers’ instructions. No plug-in socket adapter or ground-plane surface is included. AC power required; battery backup is extra. Test actual coverage before relying on it. GMRS license and setup checklist →
